The Amazon Tap is a great Bluetooth speaker. It is loud, can be customized with colored cases and it has Alexa from Amazon built in. I purchased one and I use it for many different reasons. It allows me to use my go to voice assistant, Alexa, everywhere I go. I love music, and I am a content junkie. I use it to listen to podcast, music, set alarms, and ask quick questions. It has been very useful to me. I carry it when I visit friends. I use it as my shower speaker. I also like that I can pick it up and walk around the house while the audio is still playing.
The name Amazon Tap always made sense for the device because unlike it's sisters, Echo and Echo Dot, the only way to awaken Alexa was to "Tap" the button on the front. Amazon delivered a free over the air update to the device that gave it the ability to answer you......hands-free. This feature will make this product a great value and it will be the BEST portable hands free speaker on the market.
The "hands-free" will work on or off the cradle. You can save battery by pressing the power button (sleep mode). When it comes to your device, go to the Alexa app, choose that you would like to "Enable Hands-free" and you are all set to have your Awesome Portable Alexa Speaker.
