Introduction: PlayStation Vue

PlayStation Vue is an app created by Sony. It allows you to watch Live Television from multiple devices using the internet. The packages are fairly priced and they offer some great features.

Cloud DVR

"Capture hundreds of hours of programming so you never miss an episode. Just tag your favorite shows and they will be automatically saved to the cloud. It's as easy as it sounds."

Set a TV show as your favorite and the app will automatically record it and save it to your cloud for around 3 weeks.

Five Simultaneous Streams

"End the device battle. Watch TV on up to 5 devices at once. Harness the power of Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, Web, mobile viewing, and more."

One account allows you to watch on multiple devices, as long as they are on the same wifi network.

Browse & Discover

"With powerful discovery tools, you can quickly find the perfect show for you and your family. Search by show name, or explore by category, genres and more. Use the channel guide to find what's on by the networks you know - not channel numbers."

The guide is similar to what we have always used. It allows you to view what program is coming on a channel at different times. The search function allows you to type in a show and see it's upcoming times.

Channel Favoriting

"Tag your favorite channels to see them front and center. No more channel surfing, no more endless scrolling through a guide. Instead, just enjoy your favorite shows on your favorite channels."

This feature allows your favorite channels to appear first when you log into the app. It's similar to bookmarking a website.

Access to TV Everywhere Apps

"Enjoy TV wherever you are with access to a variety of TV everywhere apps like Watch ESPN and HBO Now, and many more - all available at no additional cost."

As of right now, the list of "TV Everywhere Apps" is relatively long and I am grateful for that. These apps allow you to download the respective channel app to any device, such as phones, tablets, and game consoles. It will unlock more content and allow you watch live tv using a different wifi network than the one your PS Vue is set up under.

Subscription Management

"With no annual contract and no surprise fees, you can easily manage your PlayStation Vue subscription and change your plan whenever you want."

PS Vue will not make you sign on for a specified amount of time. You can upgrade or downgrade packages at anytime or try a different service, like YouTube TV or Sling TV.
